I am the protector
Linen dress, hand embroidered with a fierce unicorn at the chest. Unicorn illustration is adapted from an illustration featured in a German translation of Albertus Magnus’ Summa de Creaturis, 1545. The dress is a pale, natural oaty color, a gentle A-line shape, mid-calf length, and has a delicate perforated design at the hem, neckline, and arm holes.
The unicorn’s power can be gentle or fierce. The horn dipped into water will purify and make safe, the horn pierced through the heart of an attacker will kill. There is a deep preference for peace in our hearts, and also a knowledge that we will sometimes have to fight for what’s right, to be the protectors of the innocent.
Dress is Style & Co., women’s size 12, 100% linen.
