STEADY BIRTH

Steady Birth is Lisa Kourakos, a birth doula who offers pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum support for families in the Portland, Maine area and beyond. Working closely with Lisa, I developed a logo to express her vision for Steady Birth.

Lisa is passionate about offering her clients an experience that feels supported, grounded, and safe during a time in their lives that can feel uncertain and tumultuous (to say the least!). We drew inspiration from the landscape of our home state of Maine, including pine trees, ocean waves, and stone. The final design harkens to the groundedness of mountains, the repetition of a forest of tall pines, and the reliable ebb and flow of ocean waves.
